West Sussex
- I twitched the Little Owl at Staple Ash Farm, West Dean. It was in its usual tree. I heard it first, as did another birder, Ian, who arrived by car as I was trying to pin down where the bird was. Ian spotted it first and from then on we enjoyed splendid views.
- No luck with the Green Sandpiper at Pagham Harbour.
Dorset
- At Lytchetts Bay the Green-winged Teal showed well on the Sherford Pool but I was unable to find the Lesser Yellowlegs.
A great day out in superb weather - it reached 19C this afternoon.
