19/01/208 Ashdown Forest and Pulborough Brooks

Friday 19 January 2018
A glorious day with clear skies and lots of sunshine; temperatures, however, were between 4 and 7 C.

Ashdown Forest, East Sussex

  • Not much to write home about here with a flock of 20+ Linnets and a couple of noisy Jays the main birds seen.

Pulborough Brooks, West Sussex

  • The star species, Temminck's Stint, showed well in the distance from Little Hanger viewpoint.
  • Shelduck, a single Avocet, Black-tailed Godwit, Common Gull and Dunlin were new additions to my 2018 UK list.

Another excellent day out!
