Rye Harbour NR and Pett Level, East Sussex
East Grinstead RSPB Local Group
A thoroughly enjoyable day out with my RSPB group today, initially at Rye Harbour NR and then on to Pett Level later on. Great weather, great company and at least 53 species seen. Nothing spectacular, no new sightings - just a darn good birdwatching experience.
- Pick of the sightings was an attractive Greenshank.
- The only sign of visible migration was a steady passage of Brent Geese throughout the day.
- The remaining 50+ birds showed frequently throughout our trip, to keep us interested and on our toes.
Great fun!
