Blashford Lakes, Hampshire
I was on the road again this afternoon - this time into Hampshire to twitch the drake Ferruginous Duck at Blashford Lakes.
I thought I had better go now because any day soon it will move to Kingfisher Lake as it has done in recent years. Seeing it on the private Kingfisher Lake is much more difficult, of course.
The Wood Sandpiper and the Great White Egret were welcome bonuses.
Well worth the trip.
