I helped Phil with the nest boxes. The highlights included:-
- Ringing some Jackdaw chicks.
- Seeing at least a dozen Mandarin eggs in the nest box after the Mandarin flew off.
We got our best results so far with the snake survey - that is Bob, Bob and Bob (I promise you they are 3 separate people!)
- We had 9 grass snakes
- plus a good smattering of voles, mice, lizards, toads and frogs.
Not bad for a guy with a snake phobia!
…. and a frog/toad phobia!
…. and a fear of Lizards!
