Ashdown Forest
6 members of the Ashdown Forest Bird Group spent an eventful couple of hours watching a cracking female goshawk from a strategic viewing point in the Ashdown Forest this morning.
- Martin was the first to hear the call, then Mark saw the bird, perched high on a bare branch of one of the distant conifers.
- The bird was huge - even from our distant position. After a while it took flight and disappeared into the forest. John managed to track its movement several times before it disappeared completely.
A great couple of hours birding.!
