Barcombe
The bright sunshine drew me to going down to Barcombe to see the long-staying Little Owl.
- Right on cue the bird was basking in the sunshine at the front of the large hole of its favourite oak tree.
- I got in touch with Alison and Martin but only Martin was available. Alas, by the time he arrived, 20 minutes later, the owl had disappeared back into the hole and out of sight. We waited for a while but it never re-appeared.
