Tonight, around 8:30 p.m., I heard my first Tawny Owl of 2025. It was calling loudly from the trees behind my house as I made my way to the rear entrance to the garage.
Friday 14th March 2025
As part of my routine monitoring of the woods near my home I added two birds to my year list:-
- Incredibly, I heard my first Green Woodpecker of 2025
- My first migrant sighting of the spring was, predictably, a Chiffchaff.
